mIRC merupakan (salah satu) perangkat lunak untuk Internet Relay Chat atau chatting secara online yang dapat berjalan di atas sistem operasi Windows. mIRC diciptakan tahun 1995 yang telah dibuat oleh Khaled Mardam-Bey, berguna untuk berbincang (chatting) antar sesama pengguna mIRC diseluruh dunia. 4. MSN messenger / Windows Live Messenger

Windows Live Messenger merupakan salah program pengirim pesan instan yang awalnya bernama MSN Messenger lalu Windows Messenger. Program ini diluncurkan oleh Microsoft sebagai pengganti MSN Messenger pada tanggal 19 Juni 2006.

Windows Live Messenger juga mempunyai beberapa fitur, yaitu :

• Dapat memulai pembicaraan apabila pengguna sedang dalam status Appear Offline.
• Dapat mengirim pesan kepada pengguna yang sedang luring. Pesan akan ditampilkan ke penerima pesan saat penerima masuk log.
• Nama samaran dapat diubah sehingga tidak sama dengan apa yang ditulis oleh pengguna lainnya.
• Pesan yang diterima dapat diberi penanda waktu.
• Skema warna dapat dipilih untuk mengubah warna pada seluruh aplikasinya.

5. Camfrog

Menurut wikipedia, camfrog (CF) adalah salah satu dari perangkat lunak pengirim pesan instant yang telah ada di dunia internet, dimana didalamnya kita bisa berinteraksi lewat text, video streaming, audio streaming dan voip.
Secara sederhana, kita dapat berpendapat klo camfrog sama halnya dengan YM dan program chatting lainnya. Tapi (menurut sumber yg sama) kelebihan camfrog adalah kemampuannya dalam menampung 1000 users/room. Namun, perbedaan yg lbh jelas adalah, tidak seperti halnya YM, jika kita ingin melihat kamera pengguna lain, kita tidak usah repot2 untuk meminta ijin dr pengguna tersebut alias langsung intip.

Tetapi harga tersebut setara dengan kelebihan2 yang menjanjikan yaitu :

1.buat akun email di hotmail.com, atau windowslive nya sendiri..
2.download program msn,
3 instal di pc ato laptop
4. setelah sukses menginstall, masukkan email anda + password di tempat yang tersedia
5. anda dapat mulai chatting dengan teman anda yang sebelunya sdh anda add menjadi teman anda di msn.

Cara menggunakan Skype

Ini Urutan cara menggunakan skype.

1. Download skype dan install ke komputer.
2. Setelah terinstall luncurkan skype siap digunakan.
3. Add id/username dari orang yang akan ditambahkan ke skype. Gunakan menu add contact atau search contact. Sebelum menambahkan atau melakukan search kita harus sudah mempunyai username dari orang yang akan ditambahkan.
4. Jika orang tersebut menerima permintaan kita untuk add mereka, maka kita siap chat dengan klik usernamenya dua kali. Terbuka jendela chat, dan ketika sama-sama online, bisa saling chat.

Menggunakan mIRC cukup mudah, yaitu dengan :

1. Anda buka aplikasi MiRC --> sebelumnya install dulu
2. Anda masukkan nickname & email, boleh sembarang !
3. Anda pilih server IRC, biasanya pd suka di DALNet.
4. Join aja ke salah satu room, misal #jakarta, #bandung, #surabaya, dsb.
 
tapi sayang, mIRC tidak dilengkapi dengan fitur2 seperti di chat room lainnya

Cara menginstall Camfrog

LANGKAH - LANGKAH INSTALASI CAMFROG

1. DoubleClick pada icon Camfrog.
 

2. Klik next (jendela instalasi)

3. Klik next (pemilihan komponen instalasi)

4. form License and Agreement >> beri tanda centang pada I accept the terms in the license agreement >> next

5. Penentuan letak folder installasi (secara default berada pada C:\Program Files\Camfrog\Camfrog Video Chat\)
ngga usah dirubah letaknya dan klik next.

6. Penawaran download yahoo toolbar (untuk plugin browser), jika anda merasa tidak merasa perlu menggunakannya, hilangkan tanda centang kemudian klik next (hal ini dilakukan karena akan memperlambat proses instalasi).

7. Proses download sedang berjalan

8. Klik Finish..kita sudah berhasil menginstall CF versi 5.1. Jika anda baru menggunakan CF, anda harus mendaftar terlebih dahulu untuk membuat account CF. Setelah semua form pada kolom pendaftaran anda isi, anda akan mendapatkan id (identitas) dan password untuk sign in CF.
